External New Mains Pipework Chlorination/ Disinfection

In order to safeguard water quality and public health, it is a requirement that all private supply pipes and private mains falling into any of the following categories should be disinfected and tested, before a connection is allowed to the existing public water supply.

We perform this service undertaking the guidelines of BS 8558 alongside any additional requirements of specific water authorities.

• Mains pipes between 32mm diameter and 63mm diameter and are longer than 100m in length.

• Any pipe greater than 63mm outside diameter.

• Any pipe where there has been any contamination, such as flood water, sewage, etc, either during the laying or storage of pipework.

Upon completion of works, a chlorination certificate will be issued.
